When you are on retainer with BizMagic, you have an ongoing partner who is actively inside your business systems. You are assigned a Client Manager, your dedicated partner, who is invested in the success of your business! She will be your go-to through your relationship with us.

Here is what that looks like in practice:

  • You have a partner who meets you where you are and takes the lead on getting your work done.

  • There is a clear way to submit requests and updates

  • Communication happens through established channels, so nothing gets lost

  • Issues are addressed as they arise, with priority given to things that affect business continuity

  • Systems are monitored and maintained over time, not just when something breaks

  • We look for patterns and opportunities to improve workflows, not just fix symptoms

This structure allows us to be proactive where possible and responsive when needed, without you needing to manage or oversee every task.

Retainer Structure & Investment

  • Monthly retainers start at $575 per month, which is designed to support an average of approximately 10 hours per month, with plenty of room to grow as big as you need!

  • Support is flexible and ongoing rather than task-by-task or hour-for-hour

Some months require more attention, others less. Retainers are structured to provide consistency and continuity.

  • Some work is better handled as a separate project or add-on to ensure proper scope, planning, and timelines.

    The following are not included in the ongoing monthly retainer:

    • High-level copywriting

    • Full platform setups from scratch

    • Major sales page design

    • Full website design or redesign

    • High-level strategy or planning meetings

    If something falls into one of these categories, we will always discuss it clearly and offer a separate project-based option when appropriate.

  • No. Retainers are not task-by-task or hour-for-hour services. They are structured to provide consistent, ongoing support with shared context and flexibility month to month. This means we track our time internally and keep an eye on how much time we use for you each month. Your retainer will cover a rough amount of hours, with flexibility to ebb and flow. If we see significant ongoing unders or overs, we’ll have a conversation about your overall retainer amount so we stay on the most optimal and beneficial track.

  • We establish clear communication channels at the start of our work together so requests, updates, and questions are easy to submit and track. We meet you where you are and can communicate regularly via email, Voxer, project management tools, or your Slack workspace.

  • We will choose your Client Manager for you based on your specific needs and our team’s availability. All of our Client Managers are deeply experienced and invested in your success. If, at any point, you don’t like or feel well connected to your Client Manager, we can connect you with a new one!

  • We tend to work standard U.S. business hours. However, you can always reach out to us if you need something urgently and we’ll support you as best we can as quickly as possible. We have a whole team—that’s one of the benefits of working with us, we can usually find someone to help!

  • Ongoing retainers allow us to notice patterns, friction points, and opportunities for improvement over time. As we work inside your systems, we flag potential issues, suggest cleaner workflows, and recommend adjustments before things become bigger problems.

  • Retainers are designed to scale. As your business evolves, we can adjust the level of support to match your needs.
